Wood decking after year and a half

Cedar is used for construction, bridges, wall and floor coverings, architectural woodwork, shingles for roofing. Cedar repels insects and moths. Because it contains a lot of oil is resistant to fungi and bacteria. It is also used in medicine.

American cedar

Cumarú can be found in the rainforests of the Orinoco River basin, Venezuela, Colombia, Nigeria … It grows to 30 feet in height and in a volume of up to 200 cm. The wood is light brown and reddish-brown color. Cumarú is one of the most solid timber, and its density is1070 kg/m3. Even a completly dry wood will not swim. Cumarú has a number of other names such as Brazilian teak, Tonka wood, amburana …

… Did you know that an old Indian tribe used cumaru seeds in various medicinal purposes (to treat snake bites, cuts, rheumatism …) and shampoo. Now are used in the cosmetics industry, natural medicine and food industry.

… Did you know that the highest Slovenian spruce – Sergman spruce – is growing in Ribnica on Pohorje. It is 63 meters high, the volume is 339 cm. Spruce can grow to the 500 years. Syrup of spruce tops have long been known as one of the best homemade cold and cough medications.

It is used to manufacture veneer, furniture, stairs, exterior design, parquet, wooden stairs … Wood is very hard and very durable outdoors and in water.

… Did you know that the thickest known Slovenian oak grows in Bizeljsko – its volume is 778 cm. European thickest oak grows in France, in Pessines and its volume measures 1800 cm and its height is 20 meters.

Oak

At the beginning are made the measurements on the object and determine the grids, then it is time to install aluminum anchors. Accuracy is important, because if the anchors are not in a straight line, you may experience problems when installing wooden pillars. Aluminum anchors provide continuous leveling facades, to correct any errors that may occur when building walls. To break the thermal bridges we use the bitumen film.

At this stage we install wooden pillars on aluminiun T profiles. Aluminium profiles are then installed on aluminum anchors, this joint allows the leveling of wooden front (at depths of up to 4 cm). Appearance of aluminum anchors installed on aluminum T profiles with wood pillars is visable on pictures.

When the wood pillars are leveled, aluminum anchors and aluminum t profiles installed, it is time to start placing the stone wool. At this point it would be good to mention that the type of aluminum anchors determine, depending on the thickness of rock wool. When placing the stone wool is important that contacts of wool are as close as posible, in order to avoid thermal bridges.

When we check that rock wool was placed tightly (between individual plates shall not be any space left) and that the wooden pillars are attached in flat line on aluminiun anchors, installers lay the steam permeable film. Steam permeable film is needed to prevent the wetting of isolation due to rainfall.

Placing the wooden bars

At this object are used overlay bars. It is important that the facade slats always lay completely flat, which we check constantly. Individual overlays bars are, due to expansion, contraction and venting of facade mounted with 4 mm distance. At the edge of the front is the ventilation provided by a blunt joint with 3 mm spacing.

Voila, this is the final product! Wooden front is completed, in this case, raw and over time will get a silver colour. The wood is nicely incorporated into the architecture of the building. We have tried to describe the process of assembling wooden front in six steps. Of course they do not describe all work that is necessary for quality performance of such wooden front.

Wooden stairs from oak wood – made to order

Wooden beams has been in use for thousands years throughout human history. The first traces of laminated wood date back to the ancient Egyptian culture. The first known glued laminated wood construction are the halls of King Edward College from 1860. Bonded carriers have an aesthetic appearance and can bridge the large variation (up to 200 m). They have excellent resistance properties to the fire, as they conduct heat 300 to 400 times slower than steel.

Wood and laminated wood in Europe

Wood is durable and valuable resource in Europe, because it is the 35% of country covered with forests… Because of modernization of equipment, technologies and chemical wood adhesives, the applicability of wood recently increases. With the development of wood adhesives has become even more useful. Laminated wood will not get deformed and is dimensionally more stable. With bonding, wood has improved mechanical properties, since it eliminates any errors or irregularities in the wood growth, that may occurre in the tree. Laminated wood keep the basic characteristics of wood and have a nice, high quality and durable product.

Why is laminated wood so usable in construction

Such wood is most useful in the construction of all types of timber structures, which are burdened with visual and physical agents. When installing, we must be attentive to the preservation of wood and installation details, as they significantly affect the usefulness and stability of laminated wood. For the production of laminated carriers is used quality dried wood, the humidity is around 15%. Mentioned humidity ensures that the laminated wood does not need chemical coatings. Because the wood is properly dried, there is no surface cracks. Beams are glued with a colorless gum so that joints are almost invisible. Due to its good properties, such as high strength, low weight design, speed of construction, a relatively simple change to by adding or removing structures, and increasingly important feature, the possibility of recycling  the used profiles, the wooden structure took a visible  place in the construction sector.

Wood sliding shutters are architects visualization. Wooden  blinds are made in relief and match a wooden front, which is also embossed. Individual wing of wood sliding shutters have approx. 250 kg.,  and are embedded in the lead with a special sliding hardware. The framework is due to the weight of sliding shades made of thick hot galvanized steel. The frame is on the outside covered with wood. For this object we made a sliding hood, box type, this means that the frame is completley covered with wood.

Wood pellets for heating, is a modern standard fuel, usually wood pellets have a cylindrical shape with a diameter of 4 to 20 mm and length from 10 to 30 mm. For making wood pellets for heating, is most commonly used sawdust, wood chips, and various wastes in the wood processing companies. Wood pellets for fuel are without a chemical binders, as a binder serves only pitch in the wood. Wood pellets have a very low moisture content of 6-10%. The manufacturing process uses only high pressure and elevated temperature. This reduces the water content and volume, but increases the density. The higher the density the higher the calorific value of wood pellets. In the manufacture of wood pellets for heating is very important that the humidity of the input material is less than 12%. Wood pellets are made ​​from crushed raw material that is compressed by the matrix cylinder through a matrix. Knives trim the pellets to desired length. In the final stage the pellets are cooled and the result is compact size and hardness of wood pellets.

Standardized wood pellets for heating in Europe must not contain recycled wood or outside contaminants. Recycled materials such as treated or painted wood panels are useless for the production of wood pellets. The combustion could lead to release of harmful emissions and / or to uncontrolled changes in heating properties of wood pellets.

What is good to know about the manufacture of wood pellets before buying them

Wood briquettes are a standardized organic fuel, which has a high calorific value of 17.5 to 19.5 MJ /kg (35 to 45% higher heating value than one year air dry firewood – about 30% humidity). Manufacture of wood briquettes is the spitting image of the manufacture of wood pellets, the only difference is that briquettes are larger. The most commonly have a diameter from 20 to 120 mm and a length of 400 mm. Wood briquettes for fuel is made ​​from shavings, sawdust and dry wood dust. To increase the strength  can be added 1-3% organic additives in the form of corn flour or potato starch. Input material for briquettes must have humidity less than 15%. The material is pressed under a pressure of 5000 kg/cm2. For drying dryers are used dryers which work at the entrance at 110 °C and at the exit at 70 °C.

Standardized wood briquettes for heating in Europe must not contain recycled wood or outside contaminants. What is good to know about the manufacture of wood briquettes for heating before buying them

Wooden facade is made of Siberian larch and serves primarily as a protection against the wind – windshield. Wooden facade is coated with a protective oil, which contains anti-fungus and mold additives. Thus, the timber will stay healthy and maintain its natural color longer. Our installers have installed the  wooden facade, so we offer a warranty on a product. All tge angells of wood are 45 degrees cut, to fitt better.

Wood decking made of tropical wood IPE is attached to concrete floor and staircase. We used the Sihga screws to install wood decking. Grid is separated from the terraine with PVC spacers. In the same way we separate planks from the grid, so the wood is naturaly dried, wich prewent the mold building on wood decking. Ipe wood is allso known as iron wood, or Lappacho.

Wood decking with protective oil

Wood front made upon a vision and drafts of an architect. The wooden front is type of a closed wooden facade, decorated with ornamental pillars. Pillars on the road side of the wooden front protect huge panoramic wall. The decorative wood planks are screwed wisable, betwen them and the wood front are special PVC couplers, that keep the distance betwen the fron and them, so the wood can dry and the moisture can escape.

We introduce one of our recent projects – the wooden fence on the staircase and balcony. Siberian larch boards are oiled, so the wood fence is protected from the weather. Oil also highlights the natural color of wood and gives it depth. Simple lines and minimalist styles go well with the house.

Why wooden front with alloy anchors

In the classic wooden front the wooden grid of pillars is placed alternately crossed on the wall, then the stone wool is placed betwen wooden pillars. Wooden pillars are the same thickness as the isolation. Wood has a higher thermal conductivity than rock wool isolation, so you can experience problems with the joints between the timber and rock wool isolation. That problems consequently leads to the thermal bridges. Frame of wooden front is dot-mounted on the wall of the house.. This system reduces the risk of thermal bridges, and the leveling of wooden fronts with alloy anchors is much more precise.
